About Chris

Chris Elia is an enthusiastic shopper, extensive traveler, and a veteran in the tech space. She founded Closet Couture, the first fashion social shopping site which won a place as a TechCrunch40 company and was the first start up featured in Vogue Magazine. She has had leadership roles at SaaS co Remote Retail, jewelry lending company Memo Collection, and a number of other tech companies. Before tech, Chris worked in media in magazines where she was a fashion and beauty editor (and pets editor!), in TV at ABC Entertainment and UPN Network, and in books at Random House. She loves to find the chic and unique, and her tastes are varied running from beautiful trinkets to jewelry and art. Chris can work with smaller budgets, like for a Secret Santa, or larger ones, like for jewelry or something special.

Chris has lived in a number of places, including Boston, Los Angeles, New York City, Atlanta, and London. She has an eclectic sense of style, an appreciation of different cultures and tastes and an ever-expanding list of unique, little-known shopping opportunities.
